What is a light?
Light is an energy beam which travel in wavelengths and it is made of photons. Photons contain lot of energy. The strength of light depends on the amount of energy each photon carries.

What is a photon?.
Photons are zillions of tiny packets of energy.
How does photon/light moves?
Light moves in the form of waves which is measured in wavelength.
Wavelenth – distance between the peak of two waves.
Different colours travel in different wavelenghts.
Why the distance between the waves is RED colour is longer than the violet colour.
Now we have learnt what is light. Can you tell me from where we get this light?
What is the source of light?
What is the colour of sunlight?
I can tell that colour of daylight is white. If white, then why do we see colours in a rainbow?
A rainbow is an arc of colored bands that forms when sunlight falls on rain drops.Rainbows are formed by combined effect refraction, reflection and dispersion of light.
Why do we see only 7 colours in a rainbow?
It is because of the Visible light in the Electromagnetic spectrum.
An Electro-magnetic spectrum is a diagram which charts Electromagnetic waves. The Electromagnetic waves are classified according to their frequency. There are seven types of waves 1) Radio waves, 2)Micro waves, 3)Infrared waves, 4)Visible light, 5)Ultraviolet rays, 6) X-ray 7) Gamma Rays.
The wave between the Infrared waves and UV rays is the visible light which we can see. Each wave have different uses and functions in our daily lives.
How did Newton prove that WHITE light is made of 7 different colours of the rainbow?
